Carpet problem of raveling

I've experienced this same problem at our home in Florida. This is a raveling problem easily avoided, yet inspectors see raveling at ceramic tile constantly.
Carpet edge raveling is always installation related when the problem is isolated to cut edges either at seams, perimeter walls or at ceramic tile.

First of all. carpet should not be tucked next to ceramic. A trac-metal and vinyl insert should be used. Second, if you do tuck it in, the edge should be sealed with latex. Third, sometimes regardless how you do it, the shoes tracking moisture will cause delamination. This looks like delamination caused by moisture either from foot traffic or mopping the ceramic.
